    Problems with Our Current Educational System

    Our government educational departments have failed to address the Fact: We need to address the various learning/study styles and skills. Its time to ask why? . . . Educational systems continue to fail this nation as a whole. For us who don't fit their perceived definitions of standards: if lacking in their concepts the system instantly says these students are lacking. It is the educational system failings, they are the ones lacking and not students they pigeon hole.

    My husband had an IQ between 280 and 300, got bored in school and was considered stupid, because he wasn't challenged plus his mental age level was fifteen years older than his chronological age: but this wasn't discovered until he went overseas and was tested for school placement then he was taken under tutorage of elder who handled his educational programs and warrior abilities. Our oldest daughter is dyslexic with a good IQ level: our middle daughter took after her father and dropped out because of lack of educational challenges. Yet, our youngest is the one with brain damage but had excellent artistic talents. I'm not only dyslexic but Synesthesia/empathic with an average IQ over 160. It's always been a challenge for us to learn, but research has always been harmonious music connecting concepts as creeks and rivers, each interaction creating a great vision of pictures. Imbalance, half-truths along with negative connections and concepts give off disharmonious sounds which can cause pain sensations racing throughout my spirit and mind, if the connections are imbalanced.

    Truth of Learning Skill Event Challenges: besides dyslexia there are a large number of learning challenges we need to face, in the way individuals recognize, formulate and/or evaluate then process and record data. Meaning, we who think and learn outside the box are different in a number of ways: we who have neither been challenged nor taught to learn how to tap our brain functions on different levels. It wasn't until I trained myself to write with both my left and right hand that I found learning easier and life came alive. Every one has great capacities to learn, but not every one has the capacity to learn via the old standards our educational system wants to teach.

    Notwithstanding, others personages might have restricted IQ abilities because their concepts of purpose is wired in a narrow field of skills, abilities and styles in a narrow of one or two individual purposes: Please bear in mind none (not one) of our wide range of learning challenges and abilities means a person is lacking in IQ, only certain brains are wired differently for ones purpose, direction and primary directive in life, not wired in a wide field interaction.

    Challenges are adventures and experiences in ones life journey: the way to awaken, tap into and kindle skills, wisdom and abilities that can only be tapped with the right mental aptitude interaction during the challenge to tap into ones creative mental action. Somewhere in the area of our brains we are told we don't use somewhere in that vast ninety-percent is the area we need to challenge and summons forth new skills. 

    Oh, that's right Einstein was neither Native American Indian nor stupid, he was German and Alexander Graham Bell was Scottish, yet both had brain wired differently and classified by the educational system as mentally challenged, in reality, both were highly intelligent dyslexics: Comments sound very much the same about these two super brains as the generalization classification of Native American Indians: others dyslexic and skill learning challenged are classified as strange because they don't think inside the box. None of those negative opinions and/or statements are actual only personal need for denial/rejections by those who see things on a differently on another level. Truths, about Einstein mental abilities were different and appeared to be high level rapid right/left brain functions for processing data. Visualization of concepts resided on higher levels of pictorial thought-forms and abstract thinking.

    Even with all his intelligence, he needed someone to look after him and his daily earthly needs. Figuring out monetary change, the last time he slept or ate all of which are matters pertaining to his common five normal senses suffered. Handling daily business matters or survival conditions were not concepts he could rationalize as they were on the same level of tying his shoelaces: because in a lot of cases dyslexic brain functions are on higher levels of creative, abstract thinking. Inasmuch as his thought moved the advancement of our universal concepts forward it removed him beyond normal daily consciousness to a greater universal awareness.

    Question: How many people in a day or month can you identify who might be classified with what the educational system or you classify as intellectual challenged or faced with some advanced learning challenge?

    Regardless, don't you agree facts more than suggest, if they are given a chance all of those who think different and learn differently might surprise all of our society and us? We all posses above-average advanced intelligence in some areas, and yet we lack skills and intelligence in others. We can suffer hard failures, disappointment and heartache in some areas, but can be successful in areas of expertise and abilities. Our children, too, could surprise us as we explore, discover and tap into individual and family's area of natural/raw talents, learning styles challenges to awaken correct research and study styles. All could find areas of expertise never expected once minds are released to cleanse and surpass denial, suppression and/or repression. Truth: Our scholars and researchers have come too far in the field of understanding of human abilities not to take knowledge and research into consideration and apply them. [Why? What is your personal opinion?]

    The objectors who fear and/or don't want change: Before advancing through this perspective, it's not hard for even me to envision certain groups of people for whatever reasons, (mainly for profiteering,) will be fired up to stop anything that advances this nation into the 21st Century. They will protest in declaration of words, we're interfering with their rights to privacy. Privacy within the walls of your home in one thing, privacy for self-destruction that's up to you, however, privacy at the expense of our children's education and the degrading of this nation is another and should not be tolerated to stop us from the development of our personal lives and nation.

    Question: If you want to attend college what's more important privacy or knowing your actual natural/raw and intellectual potentials and challenges? Would you not want to know the best learning, research and study style or styles to enhance and take advantage of your full potential? In truth: would not you and your children want to know individual brain wiring and its unique natural/raw abilities to take full advantages of individual potential or is it all right to have a few deny you these rights because of those few who say and play on your fears about right to privacy?

    Currently, I didn't know school and educational records were classified as Top Security Private "For You Eyes Only"? Your choice privacy or a system designed for individuals to see and reach their highest potential: Personality and skills profile testing, which can put education for all on equal playing fields?

    Little known fact recorded or reported but hard truth relating to why too many people end-up on welfare, SSD and in prison: Our educational system has lacked the desire and funding to level the playing field for our children. We are leaving our children far behind other countries, considering they have developed programs to level the educational playing field for their children and enhance their workforce.

    What Bush's plan does it discount several generations of under educated. Does he fail to see what this change will do to this nation or is it he really doesn't care? How can a nation of undereducated take care of themselves, let alone their children who are like Jo-Jo and others with mental disabilities and/or physically challenged, too? What happens to entire families of undereducated and underemployed? Wisdom says the changes to Social Security, at this time, will be far more costly in the long run for many generations beyond the lifetime of our children, forced to recover from his risky program before reforming and upgrading our educational system, first. Proper education and employment will provide us with better ideas and/or programs how to handle our Social Security System. 

    This reality says privacy mongers: will just have to step aside or personally refuse to take the challenge and build your colony but don't expect government support. Remember, you can sign for who receives the data beyond your educational system via creation of personal ID cards with all your educational data and personality profile records, since most school don't keep your records beyond a card saying you attended, if that. I am having a hard time getting Jo any help at all because the educational system lost her records, hidden in a woodshed for years and destroyed by weather conditions, rodents and water.     The time is now to take a stand, demand action, if we are to keep this nation from becoming a nation lost, a nation of beggars, and a nation of third class undereducated subcultures. We have been blinded for too long in a war of misguided destructive ideas caused by the shouting words of (unholy) righteous indignation, politically-incorrect-concepts about invasion-of-privacy. Such concepts will leave us, as a nation of have and have not, open to total devastation in numerous areas of life across the board.

    Forget politics and face the truth of current reality: we are riding a fast track to national destruction, if we continue at our present pace of listening to fear mongers and deceivers. Remember, there are those that want to destroy this nation and set us up to become a third world nation of beggars, there are numerous personages within our own government, who serves the secret agenda. They will do it by making us a subculture of undereducated classes, placing us into conditions of substandard living as they rob us of our lifestyles and educate their children. If we don't wake-up it will happen soon by those who have sold us out for personal profits, at any cost. Faustian deals planned and formulated for more than a few decades, not something that came about or happens overnight, it has taken a lot more than a few scholars to make this deal.

    I call on you to see the Truth in the words and hearts of people that fear we will find success. People that fight against improving our educational system. Past experience says they will do any and everything they can think of to block and opposite any and all plans to enhance and/or awaken our intellectual potentials, IQ standards, knowledge base and technology. They will set up ever type of road block imaginable and go as far as hiring advertising firms to set up road blocks. Play on fear, pay people to dazzle with half-truths ranging from unrealistic to strange. They will create doubt by feeding you lies and play games of deception to enhance your fears: which they considered inspiring lies about envision of privacy and how it's impossible to accomplish such expansive educational programs.

    It is not envision of privacy, if we design and institute numerous programs to teach and awaken potentials once we gather the data and determine learning styles, personality profiles, natural and/or raw talents, skill and interests, in combination with the best patterns for various patterns of personalities and introduce best methods for them to learn/study and accomplish in the process of replacing the one size fit all programs, which had its place prior to World War II, in one room school houses, but not now?

    What I have learned in all my years working with children and adults with physical limitation and/or motor functions are not lacking in mental abilities and some work harder to enhance their natural abilities when faced with physical limitations. What surprised me in a high percent of cases developed more capacity to connect with their mental capacities and life. Their knowledge base seems to become more expansive than one with no limitations. One limitation is replaced with other abilities which if not repressed give them skills to connect to segments of the universe we seldom see or take the time to understand.

    We have so many people with diverse interests and skills, raw/natural/unrealized talents and abilities: which we have for too long denied, suppressed and classified as stupid. We have for too long cut too many individuals off at the ankles, denying them the right and opportunity to reach their full potential to live life honestly. Researcher claim children learn faster and easier in their early years. If that be the case we need to take the time find out how the brains of our young are wired and work with them to develop their potentials by using best teaching program for their development. We start at an early age by the time they get to upper grades: they should be able to incorporate their learning skills and comprehension abilities into their research and study programs. Once they know the way their learning styles function to comprehend, absorb, study and analyze, they can learn and retain more at a faster pace. This too allows one to develop natural/raw talents, interests and skills levels in the course of awakening ones full career potential and abilities. Next we can incorporate these different personalities into a strong development of projects and businesses as they work together and support the other as the legs on a triangle.

    Stop the labeling and consider all people who are wired for different potential via learning programs they are not stupid or require special education. Special Education has become the catch-all-dumping-ground for teachers who didn't/don't know how to teach outside the box. They were taught to assume a child that challenges the system or perceptions fail to fit into the one size fits educational system, label them for Special Education and ignore them. One destructive program which destroys ones belief in self: soon lost in labeling they slid into welfare, because the educational system fails to understand their intelligential capacity of maybe . . . or someone in your family? Our children need to be instructed in a different manner plus they need to be instructed in the ways of research and study styles.

    Government agencies, military and many businesses give personality profile tests, to determine individual abilities including natural talents, skills, mental aptitude and learning processes. So why can't we set up programs that work with our children which will allow for the right teaching programs, to increase their natural talents and learning abilities? Then work to design school programs, to enhance natural abilities.

    Bear in mind, it is important to awaken individuals to their raw/natural talents and intellectual processes. If we can get this in motion we can advance learning way beyond our current standards and classification as grade levels. K through third grades (elementary) accelerated. Junior high programs and standards shift to fourth through sixth: time to re-evaluate skill levels, interests and talents around the end of fourth/fifth grade and personality profile in the sixth grade. High school programs seventh through ninth: at which point towards the end of ninth grade its time re-examine to determine if interests and talents have improved. This is the age when life awakens more interests be need to evaluate what else might have developed during the course of educational development and self discovery. Personality profile for guidance of self development and find at risk children. Remember it's not only the child, but the outside influences we also need to deal with, inasmuch as, heartbreaking life seems some of these children have no support system, time to get them one before tragedy has time to happen. These conditions need to be dealt with for the success of life and careers.

    College curriculums starts in tenth grade through . . . with courses designed to match natural talents and educational and career interests. Incorporating programs required for career field development, thus we are now defining and refining talents. No longer children who require to be pampered, by this time: they should know how to incorporate their learning style and how to study plus how-to-develop work ethics and skills with units, in addition, how-to-develop creative team skills, as well as, work individually just as effectively. This is where they learn to put time and energy into development of ones lifestyle working into Associates Degrees. It depends on programs and courses, however, some courses can be double credit as many college program courses, depending on what the Board of Education decides is practical and advantageous.

    Speaking of teamwork, working in units, the refining and development of these new educational system programs require major teamwork because no one person can do it all. Let's look at what done and what needs to be done . . . ASAP. Research and develop the necessary programs dealing with learning style programs and it variances to enhance learning capabilities and study skill abilities:

    Painful fact: Within our current school systems children are sent home daily and told to study . . . BUT. . . most don't have not any clue or true idea how-to-study in the correct manner or style that works for them. It's hard to say how many are even aware there are various comprehension styles. Most lack insight into any real variations of study program style or styles. The lack of skills cause them fluctuations, some push forward, some develop anger and some give-up because nothing they do works for them. This means they are stupid because they can't do anything right and it was impossible for them to learn. Or that’s the assumption, because of skills training.

    First we need to start with Psychologists, Psychoanalysis, Professors and Institutes and those who have spent years in researching learning styles and working techniques. From all the research data there a large number of Universities and Institutes who have and are researching the different ways individuals can absorb and comprehend in classroom settings and individually. Scholars and researchers should be aware of the many learning challenges that need to be address.

    Second we need to map out the various forms of comprehension and study challenges.

    Third it would be wise to introduce public awareness programs to the general public, previewing the array of learning challenges students and adults face.

    All too often children with brains wired to accomplish different destinations in life to face challenges, feel ostracized by peers, educational system and teacher, even family and friends: we need it's our responsibility to teach all how to tap into their various learning potentials to increase their skills and techniques. Lose of spirit heart caused by failure to educate the undereducated, has to be stopped; students must be able to see themselves in a new light of awareness. We need to teach them to stop being afraid to ask for help and instruction. None (not one) individual is stupid only wired differently to handle individual life.

    Profile different public awareness programs featuring learning and teaching styles, breaking down the concept of one size fits all. Maybe even profile different personalities and how individuals faced life challenges head on and learned to overcome their differences.

    Put out DVD's instructing individuals on how to identify their learning challenges, to enhance individual and unique research skills, observation styles, and record data through learning individual study styles and skills. Awareness gives individuals and family members the knowledge base to know their children are not stupid, under the new awareness. In addition this gives informed parents and/or mentors a new awareness of they too can work with and learn how to get involved from a position of supportive knowingness: WE can all benefit in numerous ways once we get to see and understand learning challenges and abilities upon our introduction to the new educational and study program styles.

    Get the general public interested in redesigning the school system from K thru 12 or Associates Degrees through the process of profiling.

    Creative Artists* is not just acting, but journalism, writing, science, mathematics and many other areas of higher learning: we have been teaching programs as individual digits and not making them real to life learning conditions. Additional examples of change in educational systems:

    1. Creative development include psychology, philology, *(see creative artists) getting to know history plus acting and creative writing.
    2. Set design is drafting, mathematics which include hidden cost, computer designs and all of the other programs required. Then you can also bring various problems to the training programs and different units together to design and refurbish buildings.
    3. Engineer: can include construction, mathematics, design and development plus the different programs required for math and science agendas, too.
    4. Cooking, clothes design, sewing classes' math, cost analysis, planning and development not just homemaking but industrial and commercial programs.
    5. Electronics not an area I am even closely familiar with but there are numerous classes required for even basic training.
    6. Etc. Etc, Etc Okay so I have added a little humor but I am serious at the same time, we have to know our communities, their natural abilities, interests and skills. Computers and close circuit TV's can also help expand teaching programs and teachers, plus be can have professional instructing and getting to know potential employees and/or maybe find ones they might support with an internship while they are going on for a higher degree.
    7. Granted not all will go on to college but many more will become better employees and parents plus easier to train on the job and more aware of management's position and needs, too, from cost and development to team work and organizational skills.

    Ouch! These are only basic and suggestive a starting point of ideas to work from or to jumpstart your insight and get you thinking outside the box along the lines of future advancements: Logic knows development of programs requires professionals, individual and public working together. Interaction with corporations, industries, large and small business: to see what they would do if we upgraded our educational system. And how much support we could get from them or if they would work with us to improve our teaching programs to fit current and future needs.

    Upgrading no it's more than upgrading. We're looking at new programs, teaching methods and in all probable extension of classroom/educational hours for the upper grades. In addition to getting grandparent, volunteers and mentoring programs to assist and work with students either individually or in small groups to support in-school study, homework and mentor programs: this isn't a suggestion but a must.

    For a minute here I am going to sound like I am contradicting community involvement, but we need to know where and how in what area each person one is best qualified to assist. Require the same standard of testing as we put the students through, besides what is standard for one should be the standard for all. Some have developed natural talents and skills from everyday living they may not even realize they've developed. We need to know where to place teachers, mentors and tutors not just take things for face value, because without the testing how will we know who might be better use in one area than another.

    For the next several generations at least education needs to re-evaluate and/or upgrade teachers and individuals programs. Also our programs we must re-evaluate what needs to be redesigned or redeveloped every decade to keep up with our rapidly advancing society and cultures. By time maybe they can police themselves and education will be given the respect it is due.

    IF we are going to stop drop put rates, improve our workforce, stop the drain on welfare, SSD and SSI programs plus our Medicaid and Medicare assistance. We need to work with train the brain to met and fulfill its full potential. We have FAILED for all too long in this area and have lost human resources: money (for business development, health research, children programs and elder programs) has to go to supporting the ones our educational has failed and sent into a life time tailspin. We are have been put in a position by the educational system to pay for it dearly, because we cut funding and continued not to make education first. Now we have to put education first and educate the ones this system failed and our current children in the system, if things are not addressed soon we might run out of time.

    We still have a couple of years to get things going in positive directions to put Education first and foremost. It will take that long to get programs in place and evaluate teachers. Look at all the educational advancements and programs, virtual classrooms, computer access, classroom networking: meaning we can increase teachers and teaching styles across states and around the world with networking and teacher assistances.

    Enchantments in educational knowledge, increases in learning-awareness-conditioning-abilities, study skills and variety of teaching aids can improve our educational standards and return businesses or build new businesses, if not entice other countries to come here because of our improved educational system to this country. Remember this will in turn set an example for this nation. All of this we need to incorporate and develop as other nations has been doing . . . doing while our elected leaders and us have been (sleeping?) or selling out, no matter what ones concepts of personal ethics is or isn't, is not for us to judge, but we have to wake-up, stand-up and demand our government and educational system, stop leaving our children and its people behind in the dust when it comes to education.

    Develop analytical programs to analyze and work with natural talents, interests and abilities in addition to exploring a wide array of teaching programs to enhance and activate individual insight and awaken untapped skills. Discover children at risk and work with the conditions before it takes flight. Awareness is the path to empowerment of life skills which gives people the ability better control over ones potentials. Instead of being among the current post WWII masses not knowing ones own unrealized abilities.

    What I am suggesting is not individual classes but working lessons and career skills in together instead of students changing certain classrooms they have a change in teachers, from virtual classrooms, mentors, visiting teachers and professionals. Classes many be longer and require students to stay/return for virtual classes or as mentors.

    The students can act as mentors to help other students or assist with predetermined events to help cover their share of the bonds. Student to Student tutoring programs in areas students are best qualified to tutor/mentor activities.

    Don't know about you but I am tired of asking students when they graduate what they are going to do now only to watch panic cross their faces and life energy freeze: "I don't know? I don't know what I am qualified for or where my natural abilities and talents really are." Even adults take jobs that leave them working zombies, because they are forced to give up looking for their real natural talents, skills and abilities, which they can incorporate into a career. 

    What hurts is when parents' surrenders dreams, under current programs children soon will surrender hopes when they abandon dreams and aspirations: families that lack inspiration soon lose children to drugs, depression, gangs and violence because in most cases their parents got lost in the system, which means the same is happening to them. Listening to parents downgrade educational systems can, (unless a child it strong or given hope early in life) remove a child's aspiration to accomplish dreams?

    We need to delete the concept: "Nothing is going to change for us, because education is for the rich and intelligent. Look around where you are at . . . nothings going to change for you either. Education failed to do anything for your mother and me what do you expect it to do for you?" Granted some of the children have parents that inspire them, but they are the few with supportive parents

    We can gain support from a good majority of parents and replace doubt with inspiration if we are willing to communicate with family and get them involved. Not just send a piece of paper home, and assume parents review the data about their children. Success means it's important to contact and meet with parents, giving them the data in addition to advice about tools and programs they can use to assist in the learning and study styles of their children. Plus what tools are required for their child to reach their full potential. Reviews skills and profile not just once but every two or three years, please! K is a must second and fourth and fifth/sixth, then eight/ninth. Mentors, professional and parents need to be trained in the various learning, study, research skill and development programs and the best way to support each one of our children's learning and study skills. Who can say the greater affects of these interactive programs, might help parents to learn more and improve their skills, too? 

    Truth: we can't ask one teacher to teach all the different learning techniques and/or styles in one classroom from text based children, dyslexic children or children with strong abilities in various fields including those who read and remember: to ensure they apply what they read and memorize. What about overactive minds that require instruction to apply talents with study styles to challenges and lessons.

    A hungry driven by high intelligence with the always-perpetual curiosity, come in many personalities. Students who might be dyslexic or with abstract thinking and/or creative talents can’t always find what they seek in text base classes. Instead, classes with strong learning challenges present interesting awakening abilities. Children with physical challenges have specified and sometimes individualized learning, research/study program curves and/or equipment requirements, not the dumping ground for Special Ed programs.

    Even children with Down syndrome or developmental autism . . . reveals many have highly astute intelligence in certain areas that can blow most people away and send professors into rapid research, when they receive the opportunity to advance with supportive programs and equipment. 

    How is this training going to happen without building more schools? We start with the concept of teachers without boarders and children without restricted boundaries. (This has nothing to do with race or culture environment but rather for presentation of educational standards and interactive teachers, teaching appropriate educational programs for educational skill challenges.) For schools structures that too degraded for education, there are office buildings, owned by the city and/or in foreclosure: parents and volunteers should supply energy to transform these building into professional classrooms. Put out the call and they will come, if you are willing to change the education system in ways that will benefit, train and teach all, not the few.

    Explanation: Currently we limited by school boundary lines, which dictate where a child may or may not attend school. Another example of a system still dealing with the mentality of one size fit all programs. The only difference (maybe) teachers' using different book in appearance, not coordinated for the programs that best cover the needs of students, only standardized programs designed for SAT scores only.

    SAT is a joke when many schools fail to report the true numbers of low scores or do as a number of school district, I’ve discovered, remove the files of students who dropped out or had poor performance scores, in addition, to the falsification of records: they copy the files of students with higher scores and apply their desired name changes. Next, they bury the actual records to avoid evidence showing how the district has failed in their education programs. Many a file end-up in strange places . . . Redondo Beach School District . . . hide them in garages and woodshed until weather and rodents destroy the files. Then falsify the replacement by one or two paper pieces of paper in the files. The files contained no other records so not to fail auditing and funding reviews.

    Its time to demand action to stop these failing conditions our schools systems. with creative teaching for the varied learning/research/study programs. Programs that work best with certain brain’s abilities isn’t a one size fits all, when it comes to learning or the basic SAT test. Rather, there are a wide range of natural/raw abilities and talents and learning styles. Various testing programs should be designed determine talents and skills. How can anyone really learn unless educational programs are presented for the various talents and natural learning skill? Can you say redesign educational programs?

    Knowledge can improve daily lifestyle. The next decade will be necessary to reprogram mentalities, classroom standards and thought processes beyond boundaries. It’s important for students and families to understand concepts of qualified schools: which offers the best programs possible for personal educational progress. Nevertheless, best programs possible for personal educational needs might require close circuit classes, computer conferences and virtual classrooms. Especially, if not all areas of individualized programs are not financially practical for a small number of students in various areas requiring certain educational programs. 

    Programs and personality profiles could assist employers seeking to hire individuals best suited for individual businesses and/or feel more secure with individuals they can invest time and training on. Nevertheless, nothing is free and each person will be required to pay a fee to get to know ones individual learning/study styles, active talents, raw/natural talents plus personality conditioning, in order to know personal potential for career development?

    Educational system must extend programs for training or retraining based on and with the incorporation of learned knowledge, natural talents and abilities, combined with personality profile program, in conjunction with general physical abilities can be powerful resources. All too often people are training in career fields not suited for them and soon they find they are not compatible with chosen career filed and programs. 

    One more of Shadow’s final warnings in the area of education arrived with the coming of the GOP power plan or what is visible can it be the plan of the power mongers. K-Street fronts, people without ethics, working for other nations to weaken and overpower this nation. Repeatedly, year after year one of the first budget cuts to education or monies promised not funded.

    Lately events review major handwriting on the wall: hearing many tongue in cheek comments and serious mule style kicked in the back of thick skull, what headaches, curious why so many warnings Shadow delivered in question form: What is strange about this? Who would want to undermine the educational system? What nations are paying and influencing your government into cutting back of educational funding? What are their reasons for changing the social security system?

    Reality says events are in direct opposition to what’s necessary to strengthen this nation. It seems they are trying to turn this nation into a nation of street people living in poverty fighting for a scrap of bread. It’s time to take a stand and force our government to listen to WE the PEOPLE and not K-Street. We need to force congress and the senate to be our elected servants . . . We are not their indentured slaves.
